Dr. Summer Baptist, ND, L.Ac. is licensed naturopathic physician and acupuncturist that has been in private practice since 2006. She had joined the team at Spinal Dynamics in 2010 and is a valued part of our clinic.

Dr. Baptist has a special interest in women’s health, endocrine and hormonal balancing, and musculoskeletal injuries and pain relief. Dr. Baptist follows the naturopathic philosophy that the body has the innate ability to heal itself when obstacles that prevent such healing are discovered and put back in balance.

Dr. Summer Baptist is a graduate of the naturopathic medical school, The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, ON since 2006. Dr. Baptist is also a graduate from the Institute of Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Hawaii. She received her Master’s in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicines and is a Hawaii State licensed acupuncturist.

Dr. Baptist incorporates both Eastern and Western medical philosophies to best provide comprehensive and balanced health services to each individual client.

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
Where do most Honolulu residents get their first vertebral subluxation?
Being born in a hospital is a common source of vertebral subluxation. Trauma from forceps delivery has been replaced with drugs, vacuum extraction, Cesarean section and births that are "scheduled" to fit the workweek routines of Ob-Gyns. That's why we recommend a chiropractic checkup for every Honolulu newborn.
